Time Bandits KC was formed by four life-long musicians that decided to get together to see what kind of sound they could come up with. We bring enthusiasm, energy and excitement to our show, offering a unique and innovative take on popular songs. Come out and sing along!
R. D. Leiker, a.k.a. "Long-haul Ron" has been playing in bands since his first garage band at the age of 15. He performed in bands in the Wichita area and for several years played in the house band at a club in the Wichita Delano District. He has done instrument repairs for area music stores as well as building custom guitars for other musicians. Since moving to Kansas City nine years ago, he has done acoustic duo and solo shows around the K.C. area.
Dave Reeter has been singing in public for most of his life. He sang throughout school, including two years of college as a voice major. He cut his teeth performing at school dances and parties. He spent the better part of three years on the road performing the mid-west bar circuit. After a 20 year hiatus, and a move to Kansas City, Dave came back to stay in working bands around the Kansas City area for the last 20 years.
He has developed a style of singing that incorporates his knowledge, experience, and talent. Dave’s interpretation of the music and his performance on stage do justice to those that made the songs famous.
David Hynes hails originally from Oklahoma, later moving to the KC area in 2017. The early days of rock & roll got him interested in music. Later, the emergence of folk music and the Beatles inspired him to learn to play the guitar. And there was always country music's influence. This led to playing in groups in high school & college, later with classic rock groups in his adult years.
Dan "The Bass Man" McNeff was born and raised in Kansas City, KS. His first public performance was at nine years old. He and a school friend played a violin duet for fellow classmates in the cafeteria. This lit the fire for a lifetime of music performances. His grade school music teacher switched him to the double bass (upright) after two years on violin. Since then he's played all forms of bass in classic rock, folk and bluegrass bands.
What can you expect to hear at a Time Bandits show? You'll hear classic rock, a little classic country, and a few surprises along the way. You'll hear songs from bands like The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, J. J. Cale, The Beatles and so many others.
